Combine that with the fact that more laundry loads contain fluffy stuff like blankets and sweats and you have a static electricity perfect storm! Rarely, I could shock my GMMK with slight static build up, the lights would go out for a split second, but the KB would come back no problem. This time, the lights did come back, but now the keyboard types random strings and the entire top number row doesn't work. I plugged the KB into multiple other PCs and it behaves the same. Just wondering what could be the cause of this. It's super weird, and doesn't happen often.. maybe once a month. The water tastes fine, but there is a strong sent that I can only describe as being akin to static electricity... Am I stroking out? Or is this a real thing caused by something? I was using the cashier monitor and caused ESD with my finger, but it was working perfectly fine. Why is this?
